Yes, she has a trauma but not only. She just gave birth. Maybe in addition to her trauma there is some dépression Postpartum depression.

Maybe but I also think like this. She can’t touch the baby, then who will feed the baby or who will clean the baby. The baby might get injur himself with crying so much and all she do is just sitting there and watch. Thats why I am angry at MC. Thought of baby might get hurt, its just a bit soft spot. If she trust someone enough to feed baby, then she could ask someone to make the baby calm down instead of watching if she was so afraid of touching the baby (because she believes that she is cursed thanks to her stupid dad). Else... well, the baby might die since it won’t get any food from mother... (if she can feed the baby... than why can’t she touch the other times for example but we never saw that she feed the baby) but well, thats your thought and this was mine. It isn't about the trauma though? She's worried about her 'curse' harming her baby, or cursing her baby? They've all been acting like and telling her that she has a curse that killed her family she loved, she terrified of it
Agreed, she was a victim of her family's blame and society's ridicule ever since she was a child. Not touching her child, to her, was a result of her fear that she might hurt him because she's "cursed." Also after going through her trauma for so long and only receiving confirmation that she's some sort of bad omen all her life, it's not something that can be solved in 9 months anyways (and she would have had to overcome her trauma alone, while still facing ridicule). She loved her baby, and was really happy when she found out she was pregnant. It's just that she never received any sort of support.
Well, what am I about to say is a little bit of spoilers about two or three chapters, but that also the reason why I thought its a trauma rather than she is believing she is cursed but if you don’t want any spoiler I put three * at the beginning and at the end so you won’t take spoilers if u dont want to.
***In this timeline, when the baby born, she starts to look after him immediately and I thought that “oh well, at least she get over her trauma or trying to get rid of it”. Because suddenly starting to get rid of the thought of “I am cursed” without a proper character development is kinda feel like unreal ***
But what you say is also feels logical. But still, at the past timeline, there are still questions like “who will feed the baby, who will clean the baby,” kinda questions. Since she can’t touch the baby. That poor baby could die. I mean, she doesn’t want to touch the baby because she believes that (I am going the way you think) her curse might hurt the baby. But she also hurting the baby without doing nothing. That logic kinda makes me confused but I think I got the point.
You and all the people who are disliked looking at the way from MC’s eyes. The thing she lived is horrible and thats why you guys feeling sad for her. Even I feel sad for her, but I am kinda looking at the baby’s side for that part. Or maybe I am just thinking to much.

I get where you're coming from, but also, noble women are never expected to take care of their children like women do today. They have maids and nannies and nursesmaids, etc. It's more weird for a mother in this kind of setting to be responsible for their child like that. Wouldn't be many if any nobles changing diapers for one
Yez, came to say this! The idea of a grand duchess feeding or caring for her own baby would be unheard of. That's my biggest peeve about these stories is the authors cleary put in NO research whatsoever.

I don’t like how mc puts herself as a victim. I understand she has trauma but couldn’t touch your child... that poor baby could die and thats why I understand why duke take the child. It’s your fault to not take your child properly（￣へ￣）.
For people who will dislike, I understand her trauma and hardship but... you know that you will have a child and not preparing yourself for this kind of outcome is irresponsible. Not trying to get rid of your trauma while your child is crying is irresponsible and cruel to your child. I don’t think duke is wrong here.
