The Manhwa starts changing from the novel around season 3. When Chris and Sanghee go on a Trip together with the second brother. There are too many differences to count. The Manhwa is more kid friendly and it changed a lot of the dark undertones. The most important part is the fact that the Frion Knights were not robots in the Manga, but Golems, which are Magical avatars. This whole thing with Freesia doesn’t even happen in the novel.

Well, the novel is not that good to tell you the truth. It’s just funnier and darker. At the end, The whole thing just focuses on Sanhee and other women only get marginally better treatment. This is the weakest part of the novel. The OG author never addresses the social reforms that a woman in Sanhee’s position could have had in the gender structure of the Empire.
At the end she just rides off into the sunset with her guy and the only contribution she makes to the better treatment of women in general is some pain relief pill for menstrual pain that have the side effect of giving magic to people. She does make it possible for women to start having magical powers, but she does so accidentally, which is how she pretty much does everything. She just stumbled into greatness. A little lazy of the author, in my opinion.

True that. This could have had potential where she rallies the women to greatness and out of oppression. It was even hinted before. But nah, she just basks on all the love and protection from the men. Although she gives them the stink eye in her head, she's acting sweet outside. A real embodiment of a green tea bitch (w/o the ambition)
The fact that this story got so bad after they started to trash the novel’s plot and ventured off on their own, makes me afraid for other adaptations too. Suddenly became a Princess is currently heading off the same cliff as this story for the exact same reason.
Hey artist!! If it aint broken, there’s not need to fix it. There’s a reason why the Novels were popular! Stop ruining great stories by adding poorly thought out plots!!
