Hey, English is not my first language, and even tho I can translate and know expressions and all, (that's why I manage to read through here. Mangago is my favorite manga hostage site), I need help here: what does Crack a whip means? It doesn't make any sense and doesn't fit to anything in my language.

Well the act of physically cracking a whip is like this:

Metaphorically, it means being tougher, taking charge, demanding obedience, etc. This is because masters (of slaves and livestock) would crack their whips and force them to behave out of fear of getting hit.
