ok

this was translated in a bad way ( i mean no offense by this but the overall feel of the chapter hasn't really been well communicated linguistically into English ) - i read the RAWs and have a moderate understanding of hangul:

. jiwook is stressed out that he did poorly on the exam whereas seungeon got 1st place and has been getting first place since he entered highschool but jiwook wouldn't know that since he was on a break.

he finds this out when the teacher tells him seungeon is actually a top class student, jiwook calculates this with the fact that seungeon doesn't actually need to study at all and therefore all those study sessions at jiwooks house were pointless for seungeon. TD;LR jiwook translates this as seungeon was just playing around.

( this is where this chapters translation falters ) in the school courtyard, jiwook tells seungeon that since he's so perfect he shouldn't worry about someone like jiwook who has to slave away studying only to get bad marks. seungeon is confused as to why jiwook is taking out his stress on him when seungeon has quite literally done absolutely nothing wrong.

seungeon says to jiwook that he doesn't understand why it's his fault that jiwook got bad marks when they spent the same amount of time studying in the same house, in the same room, right next to each other. seungeon says that jiwook needs to swallow his pride and admit that it's not the end of the world to do poorly on an exam and it's even worse to take it out on someone.

seungeon says he will pay for everything jiwook needs in life so jiwook can just focus on studying to get good grades so he can get into a good college so him and seungeon can study together to become lawyers in the future - he's willing to do it all because he genuinely meant it when he said he wants to become a lawyer to help jiwook who also wants to be a lawyer.

jiwook isnt really willing to listen and says they should end the relationship to which seungeon admits that above all else in the world, he likes jiwook the most - he cares about jiwook the most, if jiwook is upset that seungeon got good grades then seungeon is willing to fail all his future exams and tutor jiwook so he can be the top student - he doesn't want to lose jiwook over trivial things.

jiwook still isn't listening so seungeon forces a kiss on jiwook as he's desperate - literally - to not lose jiwook but jiwook runs home where he worries about paying for his tuition when he has rent to pay, then has a internal monologue about how he didn't actually mean anything he said to seungeon in the courtyard.

jiwook continues this monologue by worrying about what if seungeon suddenly stops liking jiwook because of what he said to him and they never see each other ever again.

TD;LR there is no toxicity happening here, this is a case of a character being upset over their grades when they tried so hard to get good grades and then being blindsided by their stress and saying things they don't mean to their boyfriend, who just wants the best for the character and is offering his help.

if you want to force toxicity here please force it on jiwook - I'm not sure why every chapter a lot of you try to make seungeon into the criminal here when actually he is the person who is trying to help.

Thank you for the translation ♡♡ I feel bad for the 2 of them, but even more for Jiwook because man having so much stress not only about school but also money at that age must be awful :(

    Thank you again ~

That other translation was way off yikes! Adding that toxic comment on top of mistranslation too double yikes . Thank you for taking the time to share this so we don’t lose important part of the story

no worries!! one of the reasons im really enjoying the RAW version of this story is that it's extremely well written but it's super hard to then translate just how well it's been written into English since the language being used is just that we'll defined

Thank you for explaining it out. That’s how I took it too.
