The mc is actually genderless, just like all of the spirit kings. But when the mc was sent to the human realm she turned into a female ( no apparent reason) and grew up as a female so she identifies as a female. However when she was summoned to the world the story is taking place now, her body converted back to its original form, genderless. I still find it a bit rude that everyone calls her a male even though she has told them that she wants to be addressed as a female.
