It is COMPLETELY okay to feel shock/disgusted/angry at gang-rape or rape in general EVEN if it's in a yaoi manga. It is OK to feel uncomfortable when reading such scene EVEN in a yaoi manga. EVEN if it's from your favourite mangaka, whose works you absolutely love, it is OK to tell yourself that you don't feel good reading a particular scene. This are just natural human feelings, and you can't help it. Some of y'all need to stop looking down or disrespecting people opinions regarding rape. So you like rape? ok cool. Just don't look down on those that doesn't like it. And it is totally up to them if they feel it is alright for them to continue to read yaoi or not. You are NOT them and it is not ok to tell them to stop reading yaoi just because they don't like rape. smh.

Yeah but i'm pretty sure tis isnt the first time people see rape in yaoi and if somone doesnt like rape maybe they're less suited for yaoi...

Yeah, that scene is too much for me too...
Regarding rape... well.... i guess i still do prefer shounen ai and mild yaois like honto yajuu

Well said mate. Respect of a mangaka's work and loving a storyline should never take away from the fact that rape and non-consensual sex should never be ok, or romanticised or normalised EVER. I just hope there's no hate trolls out there replying with nasty comments because the younger, more impressionable readers will get a warped idea of the realities of real life rape.

Most BL lovers love sex scenes (even bdsm, bara, threesomes depending on tastes). They are in fact, very suited to yaoi. I myself love caste heaven and works of Harada and expect some disturbing rape scenes cos I mentally prepare myself for it and know what to expect. But you can't say someone's not suited to Yaoi cos they felt uncomfortable seeing a gang rape in a manga clearly tagged as comedy/school life

Thank you for your comment. I mean, really. I've been reading yaoi for more than 12 years now and I still haven't accepted that people romanticize rape or think it's such a light matter. If it serves the plot, ok, I get it, cuz it generally is treated with more sensibility than this. I really hoped the 'gang rape' thing to be a joke among the guys from Yarichin, but I didn't enjoy this chapter, cuz I'm not ok with rape. And while I respect Ogoretsu for her stories and LOVE her manga, I wish more people won't feel like this is normal. Sometimes it disappoints me how fans threaten characters who get into the way of their ship or warm up to fuzzy cutesy feelings, but are completely numb to this kind of violence. ╥﹏╥

Rape is not a light matter but in a comic thats not real I think i'm fine with rape...

Well said..especially for me,I don't like rape in yaoi also senseless sex

I finally made an account March 31, 2016 2:41 pm

    Yeah I agree...
It's completely fine to enjoy rape in your yaoi (after all, yaoi is a form of sexual fantasy and everyone is entitled to have different types of fantasies) but is also completely fine and understandable to not like rape in your yaoi!
It's not meant to be disrespectful or insulting when someone says that they felt uncomfortable while reading the last update. It's only a matter of taste. And when it comes to sexual tastes, things get more diverse and controversial.
For me, I have to admit, although Ogeretsu Tanaka is one of my favorite yaoi authors, this manga is not really my thing. Rape, threesomes, polygamy aren't exactly my cup of tea so I can't get as excited for this manga as I do for the rest of this writer's work.
But that doesn't mean I criticize the author and fans. I do acknowledge the right of others to love "Yarichin ☆ Bitch Club" and I will never stop reading Ogeretsu Tanaka's work. It just means that I won't consider this specific yaoi as one of my favorites and reread it. Simple as that.
There's no need to be judgmental to each other just because we enjoy different things.

Problem is this is like watching a porn and expecting to find just romance. And another problem is when people, like someone in these replies think that if we don't feel disgusted by reading about rape in a yaoi manga then we probably won't feel disgusted by it in real life... Jesus christ. Whatever, mine was just a suggestion because in 15 years of reading yaoi, the first long series I've read were all about angst, sort of non-consensual etc etc. So it's not an atipical setting the rape/non consesual thing, most like a very used cliche. Do and read whatever the fuck you want, maybe drop Tanaka stories? She already used rape in 3 of hers, so you might want to come at terms that she likes this kink and she's gonna keep using it.

Thank you! Well, as you've predicted, our comments DID affect some of those disrespectful people and as expected they've completely misinterpreted or misunderstood the purpose of my comment. A hate troll is already on the loose, disliking every comment that doesn't support rape. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ But I agree with you, especially with the increase of younger readers in the yaoi genre. But all's good if they are mature and know there difference between real life rape and fantasizing rape in a yaoi manga. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Yes!!! Thank you! I mean it's ok if they like violence and rape in yaoi, it's just them disrespecting and being rude to other people opinions was totally not ok. Ogeretsu sensei is one of my most fave mangaka but just this work, I wasn't that much interested. I'm just reading this to see the relationship between Kashima & Toono. But in general, I'm neutral with rape, violence or gore. Well it is natural to feel disappointed and not understand them as all of us have different perspectives towards rape. Can't help what we can't help y'know. All's cool as long as people aren't being assholes. (=・ω・=)

It's cool you know the difference! That's totally fine. You have every right to enjoy it if it's ok for you!

Thank you for putting in words what I couldn't put! I'm in the same boat as you. It's totally ok not to like a certain work even if it's from your fave mangaka! And it's ok to still continue reading it even if you just want to know how it ends! Cheers to the mutual understanding! ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ (btw your url is on point hahaha)
