I don't understand d her obsession with folk songs? Of all things folk songs?? I honesty don't get it can someone spoil me does this have any deep relevance to the story?

    It has to do with how the temple completely took over in her past life and decimated everything. She sees this folk song/culture to be the thing best to combat the temple.
