I don't know. I feel that Kaoru wasn't that bad. He never asked her to change and deny herself. In fact he made it pretty clear that she was indeed a women even if her body was that of man, and he is attracted to men therefore their relationship wasn't going to work. I think that makes sense. He was honest and not trying to lead her on. Afterwards, it was purely Mimi's decision.
I'm not a fan of the last story. It was saddening to see how he was suppressing who he is just so the man he loves will accept to be with him. I mean how can that love of theirs be good if he can't accept the entirety of the person he's in a relationship with. Just from that what they have is a total lie, even if they say that they like each other.
