Yeah the have somewhat of a parent child dynamic which probably sucks for Simone, and it doesn’t feel equal. I don’t expect relationships to be 50/50 but it feels like Simone is giving 90 and she’s giving 10.

Being a similar age I’m more speaking to the MC’s mental capacity. An 18 year old should know that going out late at night with a dude who confessed to you is probably going to look very concerning to others and it’s pretty risky. I don’t think this she would be able to defend herself if that dude tried something.
I know I’m not the only one noticing how Simeon is WAY more considerate of her than she is of him? Realistically if I had a fiancé and they had a penchant for lying, spending time with people we both know have romantic feelings for them, and disregarding my feelings, I’d have broken the engagement by now. She’s completely refusing to meet him halfway imo
