Ok so I reread those chapters thoroughly: fake Alex had an accident and so did real Alex. But real Alex got sacrificed pretty much to save the fake Alex. His blood got transferred to the fake Alex. I’m not sure how Kline knew it wasn’t his blood though.
I think how Kline knew is through the life force??? basically real (black shirt) Alex lost too much life force to get revived by the king so he combined real Alex and fake (white shirt) Alex’s life forces together into fake Alex and now real Alex is basically living it up in fake Alex’s body.
I think in the chapter where it explains when they “met” in the forest as kids and later Kline hears that the people from the capital were going back, Kline got cuts and all that searching for Alex and when he found him, Alex saw the cut on his hand and then cut his own to make a blood promise that he would return, so maybe through that blood exchange Kline got a “taste” of his blood and knew
There’s no body switching. The King basically took poor Alex’s life force (like a blood transfusion) into Prince Alex’s body in order to save Prince Alex. So, when sweet dragon bit Prince Alex and tasted diff blood than the 1 he made a blood promise with, he realized it wasn’t his poor Alex.
But when Prince Alex wakes up, he’s in the white shirt that Poor Alex was in.
He didn’t. His clothes were changed into like pajamas. You never seen poor Alex’s eyes. Prince Alex always had blue eyes.

So is the real Alex in the fake “Alex”s body? Or is the real Alex NOT the kings son? I just get so confused. I don’t know why but I don’t get the two Alex’s and their blood/body switch. Can someone please put into detail why Kline knows it’s not “his” Alex? And what happened to his Alex?
