He calls his friend Bernard (introduced in vol. 3 or 4), Bernard’s trainer Megan, the Jin bodyguard siblings, plus 2 recruits (they were destined to be Villains but he picked them up before they went corrupt)
Calls Kim Dojin too
Dojin doesn’t want to give the party leader position to anyone, dares Choi Yuseong to beat him in a fight if he wants to lead
(& also b/c Yuseong is leading the party as a member of the Choi group, & Dojin STILL has not let go of his goal of killing MC’s dad, though he admits that for him, Yuseong is the one man who can match up with him & MC is a “singular existence” for Dojin)
Yuseong knows that he can’t do that as he is right now, so he seeks out Park Okrye, this old magician lady who trained Dojin in the original webnovel
Anyway, he trains hard & manages to hold his own in the duel against Dojin
Battle takes several chapters b/c each of them keeps Uno Reversing each other (how many hidden trap cards do you need, seriously)
Yuseong wins
Dojin joins the team
But apparently, during the duel, Dojin’s sword pierced a hole in Yuseong’s abdomen—> Yuseong faints from blood loss & fatigue—> spends 2 weeks in the hospital

Yuseong figures that their dynamic is currently... maybe friends? B/c while Dojin hates Wujae, he’s unlikely to hate Yuseong as much, since his progress on ACTUALLY taking revenge is... well... not that much
(Honestly, people, reply below: what would Dojin’s dad be thinking right now? Instead of getting revenge, his son’s busy saying stuff like “I really like you” & “Afraid you’ll like me back?” & calling his DAD’S MURDERER’S SON a prince)
