Haha I only know this since we just learned it but it could probably have to do with recessive vs dominant genes. Kinda like how it's possible that two parents with brown eyes can have one with blue if they both had the blue eye recessive gene and the child they had got both of them. The only way I can think about it is if both the parents had a black haired (recessive I guess??) Gene but that means both red and white are dominant. But you also got to think about how hair color is a polygenic trait and we didn't go that far and I don't want to look up more about this lmao
