So bellerophon and the emperor have the same black magic, I assume Bellerophon can be the illegitimate son of the former emperor, and thus I'm really assumings so far, but if bellerophon is somehow connected to the royal family, maybe if he's strong enough, he can release the chains and contracts binding maybelle's father.
