I've read that Iklies betrayed Penelope. The "Yvonne" thingy was actually a manipulating two faced bitch and Iklies actually loves or is maybe more like obsessed to Penelope(He wants her to leave the ducal house and be with him). IDK how iklies betrayed her but they said that in the end iklies sacrificed his self for Penelope.

I believe someone said that he betrayed her by bringing the Yvonne to the ducal house because he thought if he brought the real daughter they wouldn't care about Penelope anymore and she would then be free from the household to go with him. But well turns out Yvonne was evil all along so he just made more problems for Penelope instead, I think he did this without Penelope knowing.

Don't stress it's a really good story even if she doesn't end with the one you want right now but her relationship with the ML will soon be developed and you will enjoy the ride
