the story is cute but i wish authors wouldn't feel the need to write in that characters 'don't want to turn into a woman' if they bottom. especially knowing that most yaoi authors are women its upsetting thinking about how much internalized misogyny there is in japanese lgbt culture, as presented through yaoi manga. you are definitely not a woman just because you bottom, and if you are straight and think that being a woman is disgusting, you probably shouldn't be in a relationship with one
I agree but in this case I think that she was trying to represent what an average (formerly) straight guy in that situation. The internalized homophobia was deliberate to show his journey towards acceptance. Even his co-worker mocked him at first, s/he was like "play the woman?? “
