Right?! He's at the camp in present day and then it's suddenly the past with no indication that it's a flashback except Hen has a different hairstyle. I didn't notice for a couple of chapters and had to go back and try to figure out what the neck was going on.

Yes in a way. It is during new hire camp but it is in present day when he is a mentor at the camp and also when he was a new hire going through camp. The problem is the only real indication of the time change is Hen had a shorter hairstyle in the past. So it's the camp but in two different time periods. Just really confusing.
Ah yeah the shorter hair I was thinking about it when I was reading XD now I started to remember later part of the plot XD
