I don’t agree with your 4. Honorifics titles are very important if you want to understand relationships and hierarchy between characters. Sometimes one change of honorific title can means a lot, for example going from san to kun in japenese. It’s very subtle so going with English words wouldn’t translate it well.
Yes, but calling a character brother even though they're not related is just confusing, it's way more comprehensive if they dropped it entirely and specified who they are talking about or write out the honorifics in english letters like people do with the korean word "hyung" and "oppa", even though they can mean brother it's also known that it can apply to other cases as well. The translator could just explain what the word is used for and it will stick with the reader. Should have myself more clear, my fault. ^^ Like, I said: I really don't mean any harm, she did a great job but she could always do better, I was just trying to maximize her potential.
Thank you so much ! And of course not, at the contrary, I hope the readers came to me and help me to improve !
And for the honorifics, Hyung and Oppa also mean « Brother » but in Korean, i’ll just explain what brother and sister means in the Chinese society in the next chapter ( I completely forgot to do that, my bad )
I don't mean to criticize the translator, I just want to give a few tips for the next chapter they translate:
1. Please make sure, that the sentences are grammatically correct next time.
2. Don't be shy to edit the sentences to ensure they make more sense. No matter how much you want the translation to be accurate, I think it would be better to just ensure that it's clear what's going in.
3. That font is not really bad, but I think the Comic Sans one is what most people are used to and it's also easier on the eyes.
4. You can drop the Chinese honorifics, since they're really confusing. Just use the English word for it like "Hyung" instead of "Brother" or adress the person in question by his name.
Sorry, if I came off a bit harsh ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I just thrive off criticism and I hope you do, too! Thanks for the translation today, I had tons of fun!
