I've explained in a below comment that that is highly unlikely because they have different names.

What if he changed his name?

Except like I said in another post it wouldn't make much sense for a man who was either a Duke or about to become one to masquerade as an enemy country's captain for so long without being caught at some point. Someone not in the loop should have discovered the masquerade a lot sooner I would think if that were the case.

I would make sense if one of his parent was from the duchy and was expelled/ran away and hot marry in the other empire. So, he found out later that he was a duke to be, and decide to betray the empire where he lived.
I don't know, I think that it might be an explanation

Yeah it's possible I guess! I just really didn't want that to be the case because if he is Khalid then that means he's the 2 ML and I didn't want that. She already has one jerk as the ML, after all. But it might be that he's this other white hair guy's younger brother. Then again if Heint is a proper last name rather than a title or some other status label that means he and the ML are cousins. So wouldn't Lucipella have noticed some resemblance to Khalid?

I thought that he might have been given the duke title for killing mc as she was the major player of the opposing nation, and thus changed/granted a new name befitting of his new allegiance. theres way too many white haired people with similar hairstyle its so confusing.
