I hope they don't use the professor to show her mom what love is. Then mom will suddenly realize her neglect and abuse and love she didn't show her daughter, only for it be quickly hand waved and forgotten with the mom wishing their happiness or some shit lmao.

The mom is literally only a little less worse than the stalker (only because physical harm to heewon and her baby was possible). She really fucked up Heewon's attachment ability with romantic and platonic relationships. The mom is the reason it took this situation for Heewon to realize she has value and should be loved. The mom is what always stopped her from every trying to get with the first best friend or even confess even if she would get rejected ( I don't think she would have).
