Yess, but I think is because it is the yakusa. And I don't want to anger anybody but japan is already a sexist contry (like most of the contrys on earth) so is kinda understandable, but not acceptable ofc
I agree. I have been doing some research myself on the sexism Japanese women face on day to day basis. All I can say is that there is quite a lot of sexism for a country that is almost 100 years ahead of the world in terms of innovation and technology as you already know.

Yes the manga is indeed sexist by default since it s a story about Yakuza. I remember this pic with all the Yakuza man characters in the story ( so Shouma too) and this sentence under saying they love women but never consider them as their equal something like that. I think it resumes it nicely. They love to protect their woman but they will never includes them in the business for example. Not gonna lie when I saw this pic I thought I dont want Yoshino to end up with a Yakuza man.
