You mean how you'll get like 10 or so updates every now and then cuz I've been wondering the same and I think its cuz mangago is still under construction as is the scan and translation groups who are trying to upload the manga they finished while the site was down so its all kinda random now, I recommend you just check the last updates page in case you are looking for manga that isn't in your notifications yet
Well it used to get updated at a fixed time before but now it gets updated at odd times with only 10 or so updates
