Right? I've gotten so annoyed with that I hated the red haired guy at first when he was scheming and planning. I usually find it hard to read when characters like him succeed but it's all good now that he's all like

Yes. Like why does people do it in stories? Does it come from ”if he hit you he likes you” playground thing people tell kids? Because to me its all messed up. I really liked the MC personality since he was socially awkward with ”weird” routines and it seemed interesting, like how would he find a partner and maybe try and open up to people.
So I thought this might be Fine but why Does so Many are ”I annoy you till you like me” trope and so manipulative. I probs need to just find something wholesome that is not boring to me. I liked the MC which is why this is sad to me
