You're talking about switch/reversible couples(in YAOI terms ofc)! They're great and are portrayed more realistic. I think most YAOI readers prefer for the protagonists to be in fixed roles in the relationship, with the small and the naive one always being the bottom, and the strong and bigger one always being the top, somewhat similar to a hetero romance but instead of a woman we have a man with very feminine features. Its kind of sad really because some of us quit reading straight romances because of this same power difference. We still don't have that many stories with role reversal, but hopefully we'll get more soon!
Yes yes I'm talking about that. Well, I do like it when there's a fixed one who's the top or bottom. But, what I'm really hmmm worried or concern? (Haha dont know if that's the right word) is why argue when you can give way for your partner every now and then.
Well, yea maybe it's different in every situation. Hehe. Maybe I just want them to be giving.
And yes I get that part when you said that the other one which is the bottom became the counterpart of a female in a relationship in yaoi. The target audience of yaoi is female so i guess that's why most of the stories are like that?
Also, thank you for replying hehe. Yes! Me too hope for more reversal roles where they don't argue which is which. You love the person let them do it too. Hehe.
Yes but not every gay couple is “a switch” yes in yaoi the roles are a bit more extreme in who is which. But I’ve talked to a lot of gay friends and each seem to only be comfortable doing one thing or they don’t mind as long as their partner is comfortable. So it just depends. This is also omega verse so you can’t apply this to real life. They are alphas and alphas are normally dominant so they both want to dominate either from pride or something else
Why do they have to argue who's going to top or bottom when they can both be? If you love someone you can both give right? If he wants to do it let him. They're both guys after all. It's kinda unfair for the other party to wants to experience being on top you know. I know there are others that wants to be the receiving end.. It's just that some argues and all.. Can't you "pagbigyan" your partner? Can't find the right word in english haha.
