Of course he is the bird didn't you understand the scene where this specific bird named the Jager fly to Armin and then they have "the talk"

in a manga where people transform into mindless giants, some having abilities like hardening and a huge ass monkey it wouldnt be impossible to have someone thats op control animals and the exact scene with armin looking at a bird and saying eren was the one that confused me, that and a random bird putting mikasa s scarf on tighter. Im all about symbolism but when its fantasy and that thing could be very possible its weird, but thanks for the sarcasm

Im sorry if i came across as sarcastic that wasmt my intention. I just dont see how him turning into a bird is logical (even in a fantasy story) nor would it make sense in any narrative. The beast titan, even though he has animalistic characteristics is still a titan. Nowhere was it mentioned any possibility of turning into animals nor would it make sense. Perhaps it could be possible that he controled it using paths but considering the titans are no longer a thing and eren and ymir are free i think its safe to say that paths no longer exist too. Maybe theres some other mystic/fantasy element involved but we as readers were never introduced to such so that leads me to believe that its just purely simbolysm. I hope im expressing my thoughts right and that theyre understandable since my thoughts sometimes get inconsistent

I know its never mentioned but the titans transforming into humans wasnt mentioned either until it happened (and it wasnt even mentioned it just happened, ppl didnt talk about it afterwards), i agree with the symbolism part as i said before its just weird that a random jaeger bird flew to mikasa that was sitting next to eren's grave and put the scarf on her tighter. For me that being random or for the sake of the symbolism is kinda meh yk? Like when the armin thing comes on my mind is like ok so he can control birds, nothing new we've seen it in anime and fantasy books plenty of times before, so you can see how i was confused when i saw that bird 3 years after he died.

I understand your point better now thanknyou for explaining it more. I think from a storytelling point it should have been at least clearly mentioned that it was a possibility for him to do that (maybe it was but i forgot about it?) so we wouldnt be scratching our heads to the last panel. I hope this gets explained later either by a authors note type of segment or interview or smth

It wasnt mentioned at all so its probably just symbolism, but isayama didnt think about how it could be misunderstood in the context of fiction, but yeah i hope we get some news from isayama about the things that are left unsaid (like what happens to everybody on the island, if they start another war within the island cause of the jeagerists or with another nation)
