Honestly, everyone is saying Love is an Illusion and i can totally see that. they have absolutely no chemistry, and are probably only together for the baby (as much as i hate to admit.) I’m not hating on this book though, so don’t think i am. I’ve read the whole thing and i’m caught up. but i feel like dojin is always just forcing hyesoung (forgot his name, the little blonde boy uke) to have sex all the time idk.

Tbh, it doesn't romanticize anything; it fully acknowledges Sangwoo as the psychopathic murderer he is, and it doesn't glorify it either (given the ending). It's the fanbase that's the problem; they dismiss Yoonbum as a MC and ignore how dysfunctional and toxic his and Sangwoo's relationship is (but yea I too hate that it's a TikTok trend).

definitely agree - I personally did not love the story after finishing it but I do see the appeal in the horror and psychological aspect of the story. I think the main problem is when ppl perceive it to be a yaoi/bl, which it is definitely not supposed to be at all, even the author confirmed it herself. like when some readers hyperfixate on what they believe to be “romance” and 2 dudes fucking is just wrong in so many ways

POTN - I dislike both the main characters, actually I don’t really like any of the characters in the story

fr, I hate that some ppl even consider it to be romance when it's clearly not. There was absolutely no love in that relationship. (like it says in the story) Sangwoo isn't even gay, just a fcking misogynist who uses yoonbum to fulfill his sexual needs bc he would prbly end up killing any other girl he banged, due to his mommy issues. And yoonbum isn't even mentally capable of understanding what love is bc of the abuse he faced.
