Now comparing shipping and fetishizing are two different things yes they have the similarities but
Shipping is when you support or have a particular interest in a romantic pairing between two characters in a fictional series, which may or may not have feel for one another, and its portrayed by fans
Fetishizing is when you sexualize something and get turned on by it & irrational commitment to be obsession with it.
Creators create this dj to show their ships and what they do as couples & having sex is normal Yes is wrong to have minor have sex with an older man but we are talking about a demon who ages old. I don’t really have a problem with either of the ships illustrated in the dj, and I don’t actively hate against Sukuna x Fushiguro either. What I do have a problem with is the fact that some people (i.e. in the comments saying it “turned them on” etc) are in fact fetishising minors having sex. It’s not even this particular dj that I was disgusted by, it’s also all the horrible pedophilic mangas and art that artists actually profit off of in Japan because there is such a huge audience that pays for sexualised content of children being raped, manipulated, etc. The disgusting fact is, it is so widely accepted by the Japanese community that it’s an almost mainstream profiting category. For example, there’s a street in Tokyo known as "JK alley” where teenagers in school uniform sell their time to passers-by, while their minders hover in the background. Men pay to hold hands, go for a walk or have a cup of coffee with the girls. Some even pay to sleep on a girl's lap. This is all legitimate, above board and legal. On top of that, in Japan, the age of consent in Japan is 13. THIRTEEN. Nowhere near old enough to make decisions that could end up affecting their whole life. Of course, even if the girl is under the influence of alchohol, etc. and is manipulated and raped, it is deemed the VICTIM’S fault for not being aware of the situation. Anyways, I’m sorry for getting heated, I just wish this topic received way more attention than it does.
The point I’m trying to make is, the more uneducated people hype up, accept and start to fetishize child pornography because this is what it is, it’s minors having sex, the more clout it will get, the more the artists will profit and the more the industry will grow and produce more harmful pedophilic content, and on it goes. It’s completely okay to ship your favourite characters, I do it too! But when they’re minors and we start drawing them engaging sexually then fetishize it- Yeah, that’s not okay.
