Its just the usual trope with other series, hetero couple breaks up for "no reason" and then turns out one of them is lgbt...and the lipstick lol thats all I have, its just a theory tho, could be very wrong, sometimes the chillest people could do the worst too... Its all possible honestly
Didn't he say in the first chapter that he has someone else he wants to make happy and even bring said woman home?
Maybe he said that becuase he saw how hurt she was already and it was "easier" to say that to and get the divorce...? i could be veeeery wrong ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I actually buy that cause they way they have built his character in ch 9 I genuinely don’t think he cheated on her I think he’s using it as an excuse for something else

So... He could be gay and/or in the trans spectrum cause he wears womens clothes or maybe he just likes wearing that and feels very ashamed..? I still dont think he cheated somehow? Its still painful to see, this is such a good series.
