As I've read the novel, there is no romance. But a lot of people were shipping on cale and alberu, ahem...including me. Even though there is no romance, the story is still great.
I actually ship a lot of BL so I'll probably get behind Cale and Alberu too (they look nice in th fanart lol), but I have some personal reasons for not liking most straight romance so that's why I always ask beforehand haha

the novel is still going on as far as I know. and if you start reading rn you have 661 glorious chapters ahead of you my friend. i highly recommend it, its so intricate and exciting !!
