Can someone please explain how lucita is the mother of asta I thought she was just someon...

you can look some detail on the anime ep 170, but in my opinion she took care of the demon (liebe) maybe because she remember asta and she protect liebe from lucifero as a form of a mother who don't want to lose her child again (cuz she left asta) but the reason why she left him and who is asta father still unknown

She is Asta's mother. She had Asta before she found Liebe in the forest and the reason she took him in was most likely already because of the guilt she felt for giving up on her own son. I might be mistaken, but Licita has been living far off in the woods, so she wouldn'd harm anyone. Her powers forced her to take the mana and even lifeforce of other living beings around her. I deduce, she might be the reason for Asta's missing mana. As you may or may not remember, at the beginning of the Manga, there's that one incident with those two kidnappers, who suck the children they captured dry of their mana. That old hag mentiones that the ones who suffer from a dranage like that prematurely, might never be able to use mana ever again in their future. Black Clover sadly isn't a story with a really well thought-out lore, so you never really know how reliable little hints on facts about magic really are in the long run (because sometimes I'm not sure if the author maybe just brought something in, only to forget about it later on ...). Well, you never know, but anyway: She was definitely his mother, yet she grew a little devil for a short while and died for said devil, as she couldn't bear abandoning another son of hers. But why she gave him away was not yet revealed, though my theory looks as stated above. I simply believe that she realised she might have harmed him and feared she could even take his life at some point. Another theory could be, that she didn't want Asta to grow up secluded and lonely, which wasn't an issue seen with Liebe, as he was an existence that had to hide away from the masses, just like she had to hide herself in a way. So he wasn't harmed by her, for whatever reason, and he couldn't live among any other humans just like that anyway, so there was some sort of kinship between them already. Don't know if we ever get to hear the answer tho, as Licita is already dead and Liebe might not know about it. I hope he does, but it's unlikely. We may hear about it, as soon as Liebe finally reveals his knowledge to Asta, which has to happen at some point, since it would be unfair otherwise. In fact, I don't understand why Liebe didn't already tell him, because it's kind of important. Welp. But so much for that matter.

No, actually, I said the same thing when I commented on the anime episode about that story. That they are basically brothers and Asta kinda deserves to know. And yes, it's cute. Liebe as a child was adorable anyway.
