it was an aranged marrige and thats sbout it. He didnt like his parents chosing his wife so he didnt wana know her hand hated he felt something for her the outsider. So he chose to listen to all the bad rumors circulating about her started by alll the biaches that wanted the power of his family and whom looked down on her for being half-blooded (the child of a maid). Only when she left him did he see she influenced the houses hominess and have a calming factor to him. Then his eyes and ears opened and saw and hears what she had endured while loving him so now he regrets it and wants to repent but is confusing the guilt with love and longing.
