Crown Price is ML. Dont hate him too much. Everything he did is for Elena. He knows elena isnt veronice in Og timeline. He loved elena and ian so much. He treated elena harshly because people still think elena is veronica and as the emperor he cant show that he loves veronica since that will give the 4 dukes the upper hand over him. So his hands are basically tied.
