This ain't the OG plot bruh. In this timeline Leo has done nothing to hurt Erica. Legit if people feel bad for the guy it's reasonable. From his perspective how is he supposed to feel when someone who loved him and he loved just breaks up for a really vague reason. It's not like she can explain that he ends up with the FL, so he's suffering and doesn't understand what he did wrong. He waited 3 years so he could improve himself and win her back and it didn't work. Like the amount of people saying he doesn't deserve empathy because of something he technically didn't even do yet are reaching so hard.

Zion probably did intentionally make her break the bottle to start the fake relationship. But we really got no clue whats his past or what kind of person he is yet. Honestly all his moves be consensual and it seems like he really does need help from Erica regarding his family. In addition what he said about him trying to help Leo get over his feelings and move on is a bro move tbh so he's not a bad friend.

Erica's reasoning for breaking up with Leo is pretty sound too. She's in a messy situation cause she knows she loves him but also knows how the story goes and wants him to be happy. She's scared of what may happen if she stays with him and the story stays the same. In addition, her backstory hasn't been revealed yet but so far we can at least tell that her past led to some sort of issues with love. Like she ain't a bad person, she's literally just human and trying to protect herself.
