From what I understand, that (Shuli's murder & adult Nora) was just a huge flashback into the original timeline. [My theory is that adult Nora's wish for Shuli return is what helped the current timeline to be possible, that and mayhaps the kids wish to be able to be a better family for her.] So it's continuing, we'll see more of Shuli and the how everything will go down w/ the crown prince, Nora, and the Cardinal's love from here on~

There's a lot of info that's being covered that will definitely be relevant to the current timeline. Example, Shuli in the current timeline thinks her death was an accident but it actually planned out by the church. So, when the "epilogue" ends they'll probably introduce similar drama in the story (The whole church vs empire/reason why shuli is at the center of it)

People have been addressing it as "love," but from the looks of it its more of an obsession of his. Constantly down to/of her in front of others, but paying undo attention to her

I read a lot of spoilers in the comment section, so cardinal "likes" shuli when johannes and shuli are newlyweds because i think they went in to the church so the cardinal was there too. The cardinal saw shuli so of course it's love at first sight. After, seeing shuli. The cardinal starts to become obsessed with shuli and then, when he realized that he was already obsessed with her. He thinks that shuli is a "demon" to him. (i can't explain it) so everytime he saw shuli he wants to get rid of her. He wants to forget her but he can't. There's a chapter when the cardinal kneel and pray himself inside the room and if you look at his back, there's a lot of scars. So that means he punish himself by hurting his body was because of shuli.

Until now I’ve been thinking that the story will continue and we’ll see what happens with the crown prince's, Nora's and the Cardinal's love for Shuli but now I’m beginning to think that their family bonding moment actually was the end (￣∇￣")
