I mean I can see where you’re coming from, but in that situation I wouldn’t really expect Jaewon to apologize. From his perspective, he knows that spreading the rumor was wrong of him. However, at that point he assumed that all that time they spent together, Jungwook was playing around with him. Given that, I think it’s understandable that he did not out-right apologize since (to him) Jungwook was already getting his revenge on him, to get “even.”
Another thing I think we should take note of is, how do know for sure that Jaewon was the one who spread the rumor? Unless, I’m forgetting something, the only way we “know” it was Jaewon is because of Jungwook’s brother. Again, I might be wrong but, doesn’t it sound a bit fishy when you start piecing things together? Jungwook’s brother obviously has this disgusting obsession with him as we can see in these latest chapters (one huge example being the guy he has to role play as Jungwook when they have sex). From the latest chapter we also learn that Jungwook’s brother is the one who pushed Jaewon down the stairs, causing him to lose his memories. Jungwook’s brother could quite possibly be the one who actually spread the rumor about them, conveniently using Jaewon as a scapegoat. You’d wonder why he would spread a rumor about himself, but I wouldn’t put it past him (he’s literally a psychopath). He’s obsessed with and is possessive of Jungwook. With the way Jaewon and Jungwook were close as students, Jaewon would have had a huge target on his back. Spreading the rumor and causing Jaewon to lose his memories would 1.) get rid of Jaewon and 2.) get Jungwook to hate Jaewon. Both desired outcomes for Jungwook’s brother.
Once again, I may be wrong with all of this, but this is just what I’ve been piecing together! lol
Why'd you assume that he spread the rumor? They are saying he spread that when he don't even remember the past. Unless he himself remembers and it comes from his own mouth that he did it then that's the time you can say that he really did it. Again, everything is just accusations unless proven. The way the story is going then I'm not even surprised that it was plotted by that psychotic brother. Sorry, I just can't take it that the uke is being hated for something that is nor yet proven. I can never hate him.
