That’s why careful who you show kindness... seriously this is not far from reality.
I had an experience where I befriended a classmate who is alone (it’s bc i was bullied when i was a child so i hate to see someone being forgotten or outcasted). He became somewhat of a stalker for years. When i started avoiding him, he confessed his feelings right after trapping me in the dark alley in school. (Still traumatised) I rejected him lying desperately that I have a boyfriend and fortunately he just let me go. After graduation, I went to a university very far away never to expect he also went there too but in a different department. We didn’t interact though. He was the reason why now i could never befriend any males w/o putting my guard up. Whenever the guys i interacted starts giving extra interest in me i just go “fck i need to avoid them before it escalates”
