just talking to myself but...

Maybe i'm talking shit but maybe taichi wanted to compensate his jealousy with sex. maybe he felt that he can only be secure when they have sex because in such moments naoto was his. and maybe it was also like that in high school that he was so insecure and full of jealousy that it built up inside of him and then at times he couldn't stand it and his pissed side just flushed out. like when he said he couldn't remember the girl beside nao (during the high school flashback).
but that taichi wanted to feel secure with sex fired back at him because he said that during high school they were only screwing around for sexual release and that on the other hand made naoto feel bad. well that was probably onle one piece of the whole cake of their insecureness but i think it's a big piece.
i think these things they couldn't voice made this manga realistic (of course also other things like the side characters and so on ...) because the fact that they couldn't voice it is something (i think) many people can relate to. the bitterness, the feeling of uncomfortableness and all that.
i love how in the end they want to work on it and how taichi wants to change because he can't give naoto up.
from the beginning it seemed like they just weren't made for a relationship with each other, but still they couldn't stand not being next to each others side as the most special existance for the other one. like "they can't be with but also not without each other".

They can't stand each other, but they hate being without the other.

I've had this sort of relationship with a girlfriend of mine... we're quite great "frienemies" (Friend/Enemies), and even though we kinda hate each other's guts, we can't stand not having someone to fight with who understands how the other feels...

    Well said! (⌒▽⌒)
