There’s a lot of confusion in the comments. The MC didn’t marry his current wife really out of genuine love. The only reason why they got married was because of a spur of the moment and because she wanted to rebel against her father. She figured the MC was a good choice of a husband because they were like bestfriends but she acknowledged they both didn’t really love LOVE that way.
