Well actually come to think of it, in real life if he wanted to be slim because he felt insecure being chubby, then it would be his undivided choice to do so. But because this is the story I feel like the author should have kept him chubby. :) Oh well. Still cute.
My opinion is that it was shown quite realistically - Yone says himself that he was chubby because he liked eating the most before and then he changed.... its really realistic - lot of chubby people are chubby cause they seek emotional gratification from eating that they dont get from other activities. Most women women who are blocked sexually just overates, Children from families where parents dont get along well also do it to substitute positive emotions they dont get from parents etc....
Not quite sure what you're specifying at. It is realistic for Yone to be chubby. This is one of the few yaoi mangas that include a fat protagonist. The only thing I intended to say was unrealistic was the drastic change Yone went through. He just became completely slim.. I just don't think that perpetuates real life; you would normally still have some flab even if you went on a diet.
My ex boyfriend was realy chybby as a kid, till secondary school he got teased a lot. Wen I met him in college he was tall, slim and handsome. I was tottally schocked to learn abot the change. Only thing left was some little fat around belly, but he got rid of it cause we ex ercised together. It happens.

Ha ha! He was yummy.!.. but he had some psychological scars from that time too, kids were buling him for some longer time....... like he seemed self confident and cool, but under little pressure was turning self depreciating and with big inferiority complex..... well it was quite hard pulling him through all this at times.. ... we just parted ways after 4 years of long distance relationship (jobs in different cities after uni) and slowly growing apart.
But some of my neighbors are still asking why did I let go of such hot guy ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I think they made Yone-chan skinny so they could show some sex scenes because they thought some people might have been put off to see a chubby guy having sex.
Honestly, /I/ wouldn't have minded, but I wouldn't have been aroused either. But I think he lost TOO much weight. Like, he became another person.. He should've kept some of the fat. In real life too, a fat guy becoming skinny like that does not usually happen.. ;-; Still cute, but it just doesn't feel the same. Not as fluffy. In story and in fat as well ;A;
