I have done some crazy things for love but there's a limit to that blindness. The princess putting her whole happiness in the hands of a fiancé that doesn't like her is already bad, but attempting murder is definitely crossing the line.

Ok so I get it that the princess is jealous of Ibelina but of course Ibelina should have told the princess that she isn't interested in Diego but only for Alejandro.
