The series was dropped by the author at volume 3 which came out in 2018. There are still chapters from what's uploaded now and the end of volume 3 if anyone was wondering how there are still updates when it was dropped.
As to why, the most obvious one is that it wasn't selling which is a shame because it's really interesting. But there are a few other controversies surrounding the comic which could have contributed to it (take it with a grain of salt please). The first one is that people suggest that the FL is plagiarized off of the character Jougasaki Mika from the game Idolmasters Cinderella Girls. At first it was just the similarity in hair color and style and that they both are gals, but the swimsuit she wears also looks exactly the same minus the pattern. Of course this could be a coincidence, but the game has been out for way longer and is way more popular in JP. The second controversy is that the author slandered another series called Medaka Box in the past so fans of that series may have said things on the internet to contribute to that.
