i’m pretty sure they did the ritual thing because in a few of the panels they talked about how they did the ritual with Julius for it to be transferred from the demon king but him being in love at first sight made him want to give everything to the uke which powered over the transfer ritual. so the father didn’t sleep with the son or anything like that but i can see how it would be confusing.
