EXACTLY. the girl realized her feelings much earlier in the story and she's been his fan for so long. meanwhile his interest in her was just a couple of moments where he blushed a bit. i expected them to end up together in the end, obviously, so i was really disappointed when they ended it just like that. and fumi. he's liked her for so long, they should've added a scene where he confessed to her and moved on. and i understand what you mean by her needing to realize the ml is a normal person. as a fan, she's seen him as some sort of god. she worshipped and even sacrificed her life, not one, but two times for him. this development would've made this story ten times better.
okay, so i'll acknowledge that the author said the ending was rushed, nonetheless, i'm still a bit disappointed. i get the whole premise of the story was the FL being obsessed with the ML, but it would've been nice for the FL realize the ML is a normal person just like her, and that she shouldn't put him on this pedestal, b/c that's only damaging in the long run, no one is perfect. also, i have a gripe with how it feels like the FL loves the ML more than he loves her. oh yeah, and the rest of the relationship have no closure, like there was no confession from both of the childhood friends, heck, the ML doesn't even tell the FL he loves her, or even reciprocates his feelings to her face.
