Idk about later chapters but Im almost positive pre chapter 12 a lot of hot smut that happens is all fantasy/living dreams as far as I remember. They both do that btw so it gets really confusing lol
So I gave up reading this one long ago on early chapters because I couldnt tell when they were "dreamming" and when it was real anymore, they kept mixing living dreams with reality over and over it got me tired. Does it get better? If it does Im willing to read again
