.ah so I forget all their names but I thought it was heavily insinuated that the guy who went undercover with the drug gang originally died, which is why his mum doesn't recognise him as her son, and why the guy with the white hair knew someone that looked exactly like him but wasn't him etc. I'm assuming somehow he got put into another body (brain transplant?_?). Either that or he somehow has someone else's memories.

The fact he's in a new body would explain why his body doesn't have scars etc despite being undercover in that kind of world, which they brought up as suspicious in the first few chapters too.
