Fr, I’m sick of hearing people only going after the women. At this point, it seems like misogyny.
It's not about hating women, people heard spoilers about what she does in the book and are mad. Is it that hard to understand that ppl are mad that a really good story is going to be messed up because a character decides to do dumb stuff. Do you know what she does or are you just judging?
THIS. I mean I know that these people probably haven't read the novel and don't know why people hate Tess, but I wish they'd stop jumping to conclusions, saying that "iT's BeCaUsE yOu HaTe WoMeN". There's an entirely different reason for it, and all these people instantly jump to the argument that it's because she's a woman...

For your knowledge I have read the novel, you clearly missed my point, if she was a male character she wouldn’t be getting all of this hate, that was my point.
If that was your point, then I have to agree to a certain degree (because even if she was male, she would still get hate for what she did) but the lack of explanation in your original comment is a bit misleading.
