I read it till the end because I've seen a lot of good feedback and I don't wanna judge the story before knowing the whole story, but, this is really worth its low ratings.
Yes, the storytelling, art, pacing, and character introductions were aaall good! Like really, if these were the basis, I'd even give it a 5, but the plot, and the theme where the plot revolved, was worth maybe only 2 or 3 for me.
The author did a good job puting the first story in chapter 1 before showing Sakuma and Kumi's story, because, it started with rape. Sakuma. Fucking raped. A minor. And Kumi. Fell in love. Wtf. Then you know the rest.
If you have weird thinking and sleeping around is an okay thing to you (don't f*cking go here in my comment telling me that sleeping around is a normal thing nowadays because idc about those weird ass trend), then maybe you'll like this. But if not, like me, you'll definitely be uncomfortable reading this.
They were sex workers so of course, there's a lot of partner switching, and they do it with different people. That's not the issue for me tho. It was because Sakuma actually claims that Kumi is his but he let him sleep with everyone while doing this job and Kumi said it, that he just didn't want to become a bother to Sakuma that's why he accepted everything just to stay by his side. If they're not in love and the author ended this story as them being just coworkers then they had their respective partners when they retired as sex workers, I'd probably give this a high rating. No matter the freaking reason, and no matter how much money is involved, it doesn't, and will never make sense to me, to be okay with your partner fucking someone else, especially right in front of you. Well, maybe they're just not in their right mind.
Anyway, I don't want the efforts of the scanlators to go to waste in this since I know their struggles, so I'll pass on rating this because if I do, I'd give it a 1.
Legal age in japan is 13. Rape is common tropes in yaoi.
If you put up so much with sakuma being OK for kumi to fuck someone infornt of him, then you not playing deep enough in yaoi world. Well this what I like about manga because its not have complicated story line.
