I stopped reading so I want to know if they talked about this. In the beginning when Elise went to break off her engagement, she and Linden were alone together. She said something like I know you hate or dislike me and Linden said I never did. Did the author dive into that part? Because he completely ignored her in her past life as Elise and sentenced her to death.
