im so confused too they said multiple times they quit being a boy but people referring them to he or him
if you've ever read this authors works before, you'd know it's never going to have a simple answer. it's psychological, so unraveling kei's gender identity is the plot of the story. my interpretation is that he's non binary, not a trans woman. but i think it can be interpreted in all sorts of ways, his gender is supposed to be confusing, don't worry about not getting it when the story has just started
this is confusing, if she transitioned just because it was convinient for her, would she still be considered transgender??
