Wait do u remember which chapter the chain was on his bare arm?
The chain probably allows for clothes to pass through it and then becomes solid again.

One question.
So he had the chain on his arm right? And he can't release the chain from it. So there's one chapter he bathed and the chain still on his bare arm, and then when he got clothed then chain suddenly was on his already covered arm.....
