This is...SUCH a giant reach. like u could just say u dont like the comic? thats fine? u dont need to create an entire "Woke" SJ narrative around why u dont like it to make it more valid. its ok to just not like it! because ur "reasons" as presented dont hold up. First of all, the thing with Doochi and Haesol is mainly there as a subtle joke. but if we take it seriously....a cis straight man finding attractive traits in another cis straight man because that man has feminine features or behaviors....has nothing to do with trans people. it barely has anything to do with homosexuality since at the end of the day neither of these men are attracted to men. thats why doochi ends up with a "girl ver" of haesol. its clearly subconcious. on no concious level has doochi ever thought of haesol as anything other than a cute dongsaeng. but subconciously he may have seen things in haesol that he finds attractive in a (female) partner and sure enough its not that hard to find a woman that has similar traits or looks to haesol. Doochi and his GF barely appear in the story and have no sex scenes and haesol also has shown no interest in doochi at any point (or in gender fluidity overall either). this entire Thing is such a throwaway gag/barely relevant to the plot that i cant imagine constructing an essay length indictment of the Entire comic based on just this tidbit. You know whats really transphobic? Conflating a cis man with a trans woman just cause he's kinda femme or crossdressed once (because he knows his sex partner would like it) trans women are not and dont want to be compared to men, cute or otherwise. this is why its better to just be honest about why u dislike something instead of going on some weird galaxy brain rant about things that arent actually happening in the story.
Also disparaging the author as trans or homophobic based on a side story that she has not yet published is....a Choice.
Since u brought up Koogi, I wanna say this: She may not have called her KS work BL but that has not stopped it from being marketed as BL, sold as BL and put under a BL tag on lezhin and every other site i've ever seen it appear on (including this one!) so....and frankly if Koogi was rly dead set against it being called BL she woulda had zero graphic gay sex in it. The only real criteria a work needs to be called BL is to have two men fucking. that's it. the context of the fucking doesnt matter, so even if its rapey or gross it still qualifies. Becuz in the adult webtoon industry BL isnt about queer love or experiences, its just PORN. its porn catering to a fetish for mostly straight female readers by mostly straight female creators like....if you were not already aware of this well I hope you are now. Yeonhui's only crime as far as "homophobia" is concerned is her having no interest in writing more men fucking men in her het porn becuz so much porn in korean webtoon land IS gay sex for the benefit of straight female readers. Esp since Yeonhui /does/ have queerness via Gyerin (who gets her own love story spinoff). Basically Yeonhui isnt interested in sexual relationships that dont involve any women and u know what? good for her.

You could've said nothing but no, you responded to me with flippant pass agg bullshit becuz you think it makes u look Cool and Above it All. Even tho in ur attempt to act like you care about lgbtq people u ended up disrespecting trans ppl and misrepresenting the story instead. All this response does is make u look immature and further exposes ur ignorance. So no thank You for playin urself.
I wouldn't be surprised if author misunderstands trans people too. It's already evident that she hates gay men since in both man on man scenes (Cha-Jongwoo, Cha-Minho) she quickly made it a threesome by adding women (Duna, Hong Dohee) instead of showing gay romance scenes. For that purpose, Cha is also shown to be violent only towards men, because otherwise she'd have to show an actual gay scene and worse, have him treat Minho like a human being later on, which is clearly something author doesn't want. Idk how she'll write the bl since Minho is straight and Cha is a rapist. Minho will become more homophobic and Cha more violent ig if she doesn't want to show actual sex scenes between them. Koogi refrained from calling ks a bl and I feel Yeonhui should too.
Regarding the trans shebang too, I'm not comfortable with the fact that Duchi likes Haesol but only if he was in the woman's body as was implied in his ranobe "My roommate is a girl" or something and him dating Sera because she looks like him, which is very unfair because she's an amazing girl and shouldn't only be desirable because she looks like a guy he's attracted to and probably wishes he could date but cannot. Gyerin said that Duchi has a type but being attracted to a guy and fantasizing about being with him as long as he's female isn't exactly about type.
Idk why author chose to add the "Duchi likes Haesol" angle when they clearly cannot end up together nor can Duchi address his feelings in the manhua. I also think it's also a way to imply how desirable Duna and Haesol are, like Minho being unable to get erect with anyone except Duna and Duchi projecting his feelings for Haesol in his dating life, writing etc. Both these things are very very problematic since one implies that Minho is emotionally stunted because of Duna or a victim and the other implies transphobia.
